In a somewhat left field turn of events, Jim Mora noticed Jeff Bezos and Amazon Prime are looking to make a Lord of the Rings TV series so decided that would be a good chance to look at Bezos, Amazon, and the world of large numbers. He interviewed Grant on the matter which saw Grant following Annie Lennox on the broadcast, a first! A somewhat freewheeling discussion resulted and can be found here.
Our view of Amazon (and Bezos) is that we are watching a phenomenon that may not out last religion but will certainly continue to change the way the world engages in commerce for a very long time indeed. Bezos has essentially created “Infrastructure for Commerce” and we are far from the only people who are impressed: you can find a video of investing legends Buffett and Munger opining on the same subject here.
